In the context of both the institutional reforms that are taking place in Dire Dawa University and positional election that was taken to deans, directors and department heads, it has been vital to build the capacity of the management by offering training on management and transformational leadership.
It was based on this sense of relevance the training was prepared for dean, directors and heads from April 20 to 25, 2015 in Conference Room. The training that lasted for a week helped trainees to understand the concept of transformational leadership, improve their managerial skills, understand the different styles of leadership, relate the appropriate style depending on the concrete situations and assess their experiences in relation to leader competencies.
The training was given by invited guests who came from Addis Abeba Institute of Management and Leadership
